The investment seeks maximum total return, consistent with preservation of capital and prudent investment management. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in a diversified portfolio of investment grade fixed income securities (rated Baa3 or higher by Moody's, BBB- or higher by Standard & Poor's, BBB- or higher by Fitch, or A-2 by S&P, P-2 by Moody's, or F-2 by Fitch for short-term debt obligations, or, if unrated, determined by the fund's subadviser, Metropolitan West Asset Management, LLC, to be of comparable quality).
